TERMS & CONDITIONS


The following terms and conditions must be read and understood prior to any equipment being loaned from the Media Hub. Failure to present your card on collection will result in the inability to access your booking. (No Student Card = No Equipment)

GENERAL TERMS

All loaned equipment MUST be checked on collection and returned by the borrower and a member of the technical team. All damages must be indicated and noted.


COLLECTION

All equipment bookings must be collected within 30mins of the stated collection time. All failed collections will be reissued back to stock for others to access. All Studio bookings must be collected within 30 minutes of the stated collection time. All failed collections will be reissued back to stock for others to access.


SUSPENSIONS

All bookings must be returned before the stated time agreed when loaning any equipment. Late returns will incur a suspension for 1 week (7 days). No access to resources or facility will be permitted during a suspension period.

Any damage as a result of poor use to a resource or facility will be suspended until the matter has been resolved with the School Technical Management and an agreement of repayment has been identified.

Please be aware that suspensions are not here to obstruct, but to protect those who require the resources and facilities that are needed by offers. This is part of our drive for professional development.


BREAKAGES & LOSES

Any loss or damages must be reported to the Stores immediately and responsibility must be taken for repair or replacement of the item.

If an item is lost or damaged, access to the workshop maybe restricted, until an authorised agreement to repay the balance or replace the item has been agreed with the School Technical Manager.


TRAINING

Inductions maybe required prior to access of any specialist resources or facilities. This is to ensure safe and proficient use of resources / facilities are conducted and any Health & Safety training is provided.

To attend MODULE inductions, your programme leaders or tutors will make the appropriate arrangements.

For open access inductions to specialist areas please review induction schedules in the appropriate facility site via plymouth.siso.co (Smartt Hub)

Certain resources may be held exclusively for stage 2 or 3 access. This is to allow specialist enhancements in training and delivery during further levels of study.

As a user of this system registered or otherwise you agree that if for any reason you are unable to use smarthub for the intended purpose then you will contact your store via telephone, email or in person to resolve the problem. SiSo Software Limited are not responsible or liable in any way for any errors, damages or any other loss caused by your usage of this system. For the avoidance of doubt this includes any loss howsoever suffered including negligence or fraud except where such negligence causes death or personal injury.
