GENERAL TERMS

• Equipment must be returned in the condition it has been issued.

• Equipment should only be collected once a booking confirmation has been received via an email to your University email address.
• Any loss or damage must be reported to the LABplus, responsibility must be taken for repair or replacement of the item(s). 

  Shared equipment will be under the responsibility of the bookee.

COLLECTION

All bookings must be collected within 1 hour of the stated collection time. All failed collections will be reissued back to stock for others to access.

SUSPENSIONS

All bookings must be returned before the stated time agreed when loaning any equipment.

Any damage as a result of poor use to a resource or facility will result in a suspension to the LABplus facility until the matter has been resolved with the Technical Management and an agreement of repayment has been identified.

Please be aware that suspensions are not here to obstruct, but to protect those who require the resources and facilities.

HEALTH & SAFETY

• Health & Safety procedures must be followed with ALL items of equipment or resources.

• Students cannot book until the LABplus inductions have been completed online.
• Space and equipment must not be booked on behalf of others. 
• All equipment is Portable Appliance Tested (PAT tested) and are visually checked on check out and restock of any electrical items.

• A Risk Assessment will be required for any specialist project work where risk or injury is likely in the event of the borrower using the resources. The Risk Assessment must be related to the task associated with the loan and not just the equipment.
